Charles Wallace India Trust invites applications for the Short Research and Professional Visits Scholarship for the academic year 2017-18. 10-15 scholars will be given annual grant up to £1400 for research and professional visit. The grant will be given once scholars visited the UK which does not include international fares. Interested candidates who are doing postdoctoral research (history, literature, archaeology, history of art, philosophy, performing and creative arts) are eligible to apply. For some cases, students who are doing doctoral research in the same fields can also apply. Candidates have to give a Statement of Purpose for what they want to achieve and how much time you will spend in the UK within 2-3 pages. Two referees names and addresses are mandatory. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted in March-April 2017.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be residing in India at the time of application.
- Applicants must be between the age group of 25 and 45 of age.
- English knowledge is mandatory.
- Must have 4 or more years of research experience in the specialization or in the final stages of the doctorate.
- Must have not received a CWIT grant within the previous 5 years
Purpose/Awards:
up to £1400
- Interested candidates will write a SOP in 2-3 pages.
- A CV including e-mail, postal address and photo.
- Emergency name and contact details of a person in India.
- An assurance that you are within the eligible age range and haven’t received a CWIT grant within the last 5 years
